Are you a leader in the early childhood sector who is finding it challenging to guide and support your team to authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives in your programs, practices and environments?
In this full day knowledge circle, Aunty Jackie Bennett and Tash Treveton will take leaders on a journey of weaving and connection, each sharing their knowledge, experience and passion - Jackie is a First Nations woman and co-founder of Connecting the Dots Through Culture, and Tash as an experienced educational leader and approved provider, and co-founder of Inspired EC.
Leaders will explore:
-
The who, what, why, and how of leadership. Why do you do what you do? How are you showing up as a leader? What is your role as a leader? Who are you as a leader?
-
Aboriginal history and perspectives and how they shape our work with children and families
-
Who are your team? How do they learn and receive information? How you can develop authentic connections with them as a leader to support them to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives in their work with children.
It's going to be a big day - full of deep conversation, reflective practice, and connection.
Prepare to be challenged.
Prepare to be inspired.
This opportunity is for Nominated Supervisors, Approved Providers, Educational Leaders, Areas Managers, Room Leaders - Anyone in a leadership role!
