The course will include the use of Talking and Thinking Floorbooks™ developed by Dr Claire Warden, to promote effective consultation with children, including infants and toddlers, and the recording of this through a variety of holistic approaches which are being acknowledged in the EYLF V2.0 as effective planning, documenting and critical reflection tools for young children’s learning and experiences.
Join Tash Treveton, a licensed Floobooks training facilitator, as she leads your team to discuss how to use the Talking and Thinking Floorbooks Approach in your service. Tash is the Co-founder of Inspired EC, a Newcastle based Early Childhood Consultancy and Training company that supports EC services nationally and internationally. Tash is a strong advocate for children's right to play and is the longest licensed, Australian training representative for Dr Claire Helen Warden (Mindstretchers, UK).
As a sector we understand the importance of connection, reflection, and inspiration in our work. By involving both the children and educators in the Floorbook, we create a dynamic record of the children's learning journey. It serves as a tool for reflection, celebration, and ongoing assessment, enabling us to continually enhance our program to meet the needs and interests of the children in our care.
The Talking and Thinking Floorbooks™ training will provide strategies for understanding the intrinsic motivations of children through multiple ways of consultation.
