"Inspired EC deliver a wide variety of Mini Courses to continually expand our Professional Development."
A mini course designed to unpack the importance of play, deepening the understanding of educators and enhancing our programs to really embrace play.
The course is broken up into four lessons and the following is covered:
Lesson 1 - What is play?
Lesson 2 - Why does play matter?
Lesson 3 - Who owns play?
Lesson 4 - What happens when play goes awry?
Our mini courses are designed to be inspiring and practical - connecting theory, ideas and inspiration with strategies and actionable steps that will enhance your practice in your work with children.
You will explore Peter Grays definition or characteristics of play, as a way of understanding what play really looks like.
Gain insight into the developmental benefits for children, of play, making you more confident to advocate for play in your setting.
As you explore who owns the play, you will be encouraged to shift expectations of what play looks like - reflecting on rough and tumble and even gun play.
With the Debrief Package services can now register multiple educators for a mini course, and book in a follow up live zoom session for a few weeks later with one of our trainers to reflect on the course.
The Pondering Play mini course is suited to anyone working in the early education and care sector who is wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the role of PLAY in the life of a child and in our settings.
We suggest that the mini course is the equivalent of 1hr of face to face learning, however we recognise that all learners are different. There is content within the course that may take additional time.
Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a confirmation details with your login information.
You will have immediate access to the course, to complete in your own time. The course may include written content, images, videos, article links, ideas and inspiration.
All participants will complete a reflection/assessment which is personally responded to by one of our course facilitators before you receive your certificate.
A mini course designed to provide an understanding of what loose parts are, and the practicalities of using them within our settings.
