"Thank you for these e-courses. The courses cater for a range of educators from new to the profession or educators wanting a refresher with up to date information. As an educational leader I often refer my educators to read or partake in a course."
Nearly 100 years ago a pioneering early learning caregiver and researcher observed 7 distinct stages of play children progress through as they engage with blocks. This session takes a look at that researcher, the stages she observed, and what you can do to better support children and the move through each stage.
Engage with Harriet Johnson's research and her contributions to early learning. Learn about the 7 stages of block play and leave with ideas for supporting play in each of the 7 stages.
The is suited to anyone working with children in long day care, preschools, family day care, OSHC and schools.
