"Inspired EC deliver a wide variety of Mini Courses to continually expand our Professional Development."
Building connection with children is at the core of what we do as educators. This mini course will share simple strategies for building and maintaining strong relationships with children, and learn about the benefits of doing so.
The course is broken up into four lessons and the following is covered:
Lesson 1 - Why is connection with children important?
Lesson 2 - What gets in the way of connection?
Lesson 3 - Simple strategies for building and maintaining connection
Lesson 4 - What do we do when connection doesn't quite go to plan
Our mini courses are designed to be inspiring and practical - connecting theory, ideas and inspiration with strategies and actionable steps that will enhance your practice in your work with children.
You will learn the benefits of building strong and authentic relationships with children and families.
Connection building may seem like simple ide, but in the busy-ness of our day-to-day work with children, it's not always so easy to execute.
Before we 'give up' when things aren't going to plan, consider alternative ways to build and maintain connections.
With the Debrief Package services can now register multiple educators for a mini course, and book in a follow up live zoom session for a few weeks later with one of our trainers to reflect on the course.
Inspired EC mini courses are suited to anyone working in the early education and care sector. This mini course is designed to support anyone working with children in long day care, preschools, family day care, OSHC and schools. Inspired EC will guide you to consider your unique context, engage in research and reflective practice, and evolve to meet the needs of the children, families and communities in which you work.
In addition to previously working as educators, nominated supervisors and educational leaders, we currently are the approved providers for Inspired Family Day Care - a service that we started due to demand for nature based, risk friendly and community focused family day care.
This current, practical experience sets us apart - we understand where you are at... because we are right there with you!
We suggest that the mini course is the equivalent of 1hr of face to face learning, however we recognise that all learners are different. There is content within the course that may take additional time.
Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email confirmation including details of your login information.
You will have immediate access to the course, to complete in your own time. The course may include written content, images, videos, article links, ideas and inspiration.
All participants will complete a reflective assessment which is personally responded to by one of our course facilitators before you receive your certificate. Once this reflection has been completed we advise you will receive your certificate of completion within 3-5 business days.
In this session, we unpack the reasons that these types of behaviours show up in our services and the importance of looking beyond the behaviour and taking the time to build relationships, understand children, and reflect on our own attitudes, reactions, and responses.
A mini course designed to explore what genuine belonging looks and feels like for children, families and educators.
If you're sitting there now thinking.... YES, YES, YES! (and why wouldn't you be?) You can register for the mini course right now!
