ABOUT THE COURSE

Many years ago we tried something that tipped the way that we worked on its head, we opened up the doors and allowed for free-roaming between our amazing outdoor space, our art studio and our two previously age-segregated rooms. It required a lot of communication between our team, a lot of reflective practice - but oh it was worth it!!

That's why when the opportunity to bring to life this wonderful course by Trisha Dean came about, we jumped at the chance. This is definitely one to get you thinking.

The course is broken up into five lessons and the following is covered:

Welcome

Lesson 1 - What are the benefits of a multi-age community?

Lesson 2 - Linking to early childhood best practice and theories

Lesson 3 - Watch the video

Lesson 4 - How a multi-age community is supported through calculating ratios across the service?

Lesson 5 - The ideal combination – Mixed-age Groups and Primary Caregiving
