ABOUT THE COURSE

Many services (and directors and educators) tell us that the appraisal process isn't always a positive one. We want to change that! When we make our review process a collaborative one, we see benefits for both educators and services. Throughout this mini course, we will encourage you to reflect on your current approach, and to take practical steps towards a more meaningful approach.

The course is broken up into four lessons and the following is covered:

Welcome

Lesson 1: Why are educator appraisals important?

Lesson 2: A Two Way Street

Lesson 3: When Appraisals are hard

Lesson 4: Practical Strategies for Appraisals

Frequently Asked Questions

Inspired EC mini courses are suited to anyone working in the early education and care sector. This mini course is designed to support anyone working with children in long day care, preschools, family day care, OSHC and schools. Inspired EC will guide you to consider your unique context, engage in research and reflective practice, and evolve to meet the needs of the children, families and communities in which you work.

In addition to previously working as educators, nominated supervisors and educational leaders, we currently are the approved providers for Inspired Family Day Care - a service that we started due to demand for nature based, risk friendly and community focused family day care.

This current, practical experience sets us apart - we understand where you are at... because we are right there with you!

We suggest that the mini course is the equivalent of 1hr of face to face learning, however we recognise that all learners are different. There is content within the course that may take additional time.

Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email confirmation including details of your login information.

You will have immediate access to the course, to complete in your own time. The course may include written content, images, videos, article links, ideas and inspiration.

All participants will complete a reflective assessment which is personally responded to by one of our course facilitators before you receive your certificate. Once this reflection has been completed we advise you will receive your certificate of completion within 3-5 business days.
