Inspired Nature Schooling

Inspired Nature Play is all about providing children with an environment in which they can explore and experience with all their senses, meanwhile engaging in stimulating imaginative play in an unhurried and nurturing outdoor environment.

• We will ramble through the natural bushland, visiting the duck pond and Redhead sand dunes,
• We will explore with loose parts, building cubbies and rope swings,
• We will climb trees and dig in the sand, dirt and mud,
• We will explore water play with pipes, hoses, buckets and puddles,
• We will create art with natural paints, watercolours, chalk and other mark making materials,
• and MORE

The day will be a mixture of free play, structured games and activities, and will offer a variety of opportunities for children to engage in independent exploration as well fostering creativity and social interaction as part of the group.

Through this program children develop the ability to think creatively and openly and develop at their own rate - this includes getting messy!

• A backpack suitable to carry all of their belongings.
• Nutritious Lunch and Snacks. (We are aiming to operate a waste-free site so please minimise food packaging).
• Water bottle.
• Mosquito repellent and sunscreen. (Please apply before arriving. Pack sunscreen if you have an alternative you’d like your child to apply).
• Play clothes - we get very dirty at Inspired Nature Play! (An extra set or two is essential!)
• Clothing with sleeves that cover shoulders and a hat that covers the neck.
• Comfortable walking shoes (runners are perfect)
• Wet weather gear: if it is raining, we still play. Gumboots and weatherproof clothes/jackets are ideal, a towel can also be handy.

If your child requires medication (e.g. Asthma Puffer, Epipen etc) please discuss this with the facilitator and ensure that they have the medication. Please do not leave medication in children's bags.

So, make sure to pack your wet weather gear. Gumboots and weatherproof jackets are ideal, a towel and a spare change of clothes can also be handy.

Inspired Nature Play is an all-weather program - rain and shine are perfect for our outdoor activities. Having said that, in the event of dangerous weather (heavy rain, high winds, lightning) the program may be cancelled. Families will be provided with as much notice as reasonably possible and will be offered a credit for the cancelled session.
