This session is for anyone who’s ever sighed at a row of identical “masterpieces” on the wall. Together we’ll play with how to set up art spaces that invite big ideas, brave mess and genuine experimentation, while you quietly scaffold skills like grip, control, mixing and mark-making in the background. You’ll also explore simple, meaningful ways to document the process so families (and assessors) can see the rich thinking that happens long before the paint dries.

Outcomes for Educators:

  • Insight into designing art spaces that foster experimentation over replication.

  • Practical ways to scaffold fine motor, cognitive, and expressive skills through open-ended art.

  • Documentation strategies that make creative thinking visible to families and assessors.
